SAG Awards 2015 Best Dressed

I’m on a course at the moment and consequently rather busy, hence the lack of posts last week.  I’m trying to get a routine of sorts going and so hopefully I can juggle everything around for business as usual over the next few days.

It was the Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony yesterday, as Hollywood’s award season steams ahead, culminating with the biggie on 22nd February.  Oscar buzz abounds for certain movies and individuals as the Golden Globes and SAG awards are often seen as a precursor to the likely winners of the prestigious and coveted gold statues.  However, we also know that despite this theory there can still be some major shocks come Oscar day, remember Kathryn Bigalow’s The Hurt Locker beating out James Cameron’s Avatar (her ex husband incidentally!) for Best Picture and Best Director back in 2010?

My best dressed from the SAGs (slightly unflattering acronym isn’t it?!) is Academy Award Best Actress nominee, Rosamund Pike.  Rosamund’s Golden Globes Vera Wang gown was a bit of a miss for me, but this billowing black Dior Haute Couture number is ticking all the boxes and marks a return to red carpet form for the “Gone Girl” actress.

Rosamund lost out on the Best Actress award last night to Julianne Moore, who also looked stunning in emerald green.

BTW I’m seriously loving this textured longer bob look and I’m seriously considering going for the chop myself!!!  Let’s hope it goes a whole lot better than when I last went for a shorter look in the early 00’s, it was a time before GHD’s so I’ll let your imaginations run wild with that!

Peace and Love
