Last nights GQ Awards appeared to consist of female celebs trying to out do each other in a bid to claim the prize for who could flash the most flesh, that and what some are calling rather controversial choices of award recipients. I wasn’t at all enthralled, not in the least.
Since these awards are aimed at the male of the species it only seemed fitting to choose a man as my best dressed nominee.
I loved Benedict Cumberbatch in this Spencer Hart suit, a super sleek and classic look that’s been given a slight twist by being an entirely black ensemble. I adore the waistcoat and the layering of different fabrics and textures ensures that despite the singular tone, the look is anything but drab.
This is a label that draws its influence from old school musicians and movie stars, think Frank Sinatra, David Bowie and Jack Nicholson circa 1975. Little wonder then that Vogue describes Spencer Hart as the label that “fuses together old-school elegance with achingly cool sensibility”
Ah bespoke suits! I want one for my husband pronto, even if it’s just to wear around the house! (sigh!)
